MMM：语言和艺术交接的地方
《The Artist’s way》里描述了一类“shadow artist”（影子艺术家）。他们从事着与艺术无关的行业，然而骨子里有种对艺术与生俱来的亲近。他们喜爱艺术，但他们又怀疑自己的艺术才能。他们中或许会有人拥有一定数量的艺术家朋友，收集艺术品，甚至资助艺术家。但他们就是不觉得自己也能像一个艺术家那样去创造，而不仅仅是被动的欣赏和赞叹。
我觉得我就是这么一个“影子艺术家”。而假如没有遇到MMM（以及由此带出的其他艺术家blog），我想我也许会一直“shadow”下去。直到有一天因为缺乏对艺术触觉的锻炼而真的失去艺术才能。
那么MMM是什么呢？
如上图所示，MMM的全称为Mixed Media Memoirs（多材质回忆录）。她是由美国的一位女性发起的一个网上艺术活动。所谓多材质，就是通过对各种材质的物质艺术化的组合（也可以配上语言说明）来表达自己。每周，MMM的发起人Melba会邀请参与者发起一个主题，所有参加者则根据这个主题进行创作。目前参加这个活动的多为西方世界的女性（但我想她一定不会排斥中国的参加者，我的顺利加入就是个好证明^_^）。
MMM最让我欣喜的地方是，她丰富了我们表达自己的方式。她让我们明白，即便是一个普通人，除了用语言表达我们自己之外，我们还可以通过艺术表达自己！也正因如此，MMM对艺术家和准艺术家有价值，她对普通人更有价值！用MMM的方式来表达自己，获得的是一份左脑的放松、艺术的享受和创造所带来的巨大喜悦和满足。另外，从MMM过往的主题来看，她还很带“自省“性。对于喜爱艺术的人来说，是一种极好的自我发现的方式。
或许我们中的大多数人成为不了艺术家（老实说也没什么必要非去成为），但我们完全可以取用一点艺术的元素调入我们的生活。这会让我们的生活更丰满，更有创意，让我们自己更喜欢自己。
